Nuchal Translucency:
Nuchal Translucency is test performed via Ultrasound and refers to a collection of fluid in the back of the baby’s neck. Babies with Down Syndrome and trisomy 18 tend to have Nuchal Translucency measurements that are larger than those of babies without these conditions. This test is performed usually as a part of the sequential testing and is completely non-invasive.
